I have a new found horror and respect for nature, thanks to my psychology revision.
Testing the effects of overcrowding, this guy put a population of rats in a limited space to see how they would behave. They displayed aggression, poor mothering and infant cannibalism. The part that amazes me, is that 95% of rats died before reaching maturity, because their behaviour acted as a form of population control.
So its like nature thought damn, its getting a bit cosy in here. Lets make these kids act like sociopaths, that way they'll just go ahead and kill each other. Then there'll be plenty of room for the strongest ones to stretch their legs. Natural selection ftw.
This is just disturbing. So clever. But disturbing.
