Take Heart

For all those of you who say:

'I hate valentines, it makes me so depressed because there's all these cute couples and I'm all alone...'
'I love valentines. It means so much to me and -blah-'
'I DON'T HAVE A FRICKIN' CLUE WHAT TO GET -blah- FOR VALENTINES!' [well first of all, shame on you for using the word 'frickin']
or even; 'valentines is over commercialised and ridiculous'
I have only one thing to say: it's just another day.

Sure, there are a lot more hearts in shop windows, and Thornton's are stocked up with vile strawberry flavoured chocolates (seriously, who eats those?!) but really, the day itself is no different to any of the other 364 days of the year.

If you're lucky enough to be in a happy relationship go ahead and give your cards, flowers and presents, just make sure you're celebrating the fact that you can spend a day with that person, not some made up day that is no different to any other.

If you're depressed and alone, or even away from someone you love, three words: it doesn't matter.
You're presumably in the same position as you were on February 13th, and who knows, it may be completely different on the 15th, 16th or 17th. But if it is, the day doesn't matter. What matters is what happens.

Finally, if you're single and happy, well I salute you.

[N.B. I apologise for the decrease in blog quality recently. I know I've said it before, but I really will try to write some better ones soon :)]
